Ideally you really need to be familiar with the various Armani lines that exist as there are several that exist under the broad Armani name. As an example, the most expensive line is Giorgio Armani black and is sold purely at the most exclusive Armani boutiques whereas Armani Classico is considered to be more like the Black Label line. More upscale department stores will tend to stock the Armani White Label collection and you will only find Emporio Armani sold in specific Emporio Armani shops. For those of you shopping for jeans you will unsurprisingly find these in the Armani Jeans line. There are still clothes available for the shopper on a budget with the Armani Exchange line.
You should also be aware of the label colours associated with Armani brand and lines. The Black Label will feature white letters on black labels, the Classico line labels have silver letters on navy blue, the Armani Collezioni has black letters on white labels. Each of these labels will have the line's name entirely in upper case letters and most of them should read 'Made in Italy'. The labels should also have "EA" or "GA" on them. The labels on Armani Jeans will display "AJ" on the left hand side with "Armani Jeans" being shown on the right. Again, these will be displayed all in upper case lettering.
